What is a One Hitter Pipe?

The straight forward answer is that a one hitter pipe is any type of device or contraption you can smoke out of, but only get one good hit worth of smoke out of.  The traditional one hitter is a metal pipe that is painted to look like a fake cigarette and is shaped like a long narrow cylinder. There is a small spot to pack herbs in, and a hollow center running the length the pipe that you inhale through.  These are difficult to load and require constant repacking but are very portable and nearly indestructible. 

What are One Hitters made out of?
